Spend a few hours in New Hampshire on Election Day

As you may already know from our Twitter feed and Facebook page, the Concord Monitor is looking for Northeastern journalism students to help out with exit polling on Election Day, Nov. 6. New Hampshire is a swing state, and it may help determine whether President Obama is re-elected or if Gov. Mitt Romney defeats him.

The Northeastern end of things is being organized by one of our graduate students, Meg Heckman, a former Web editor at the Monitor. She tells me we’ll probably meet at the Monitor late that morning, visit polling places for about three or four hours and then head back. It sounds like fun, and I’m planning to take part myself. I might be able to provide transportation to anyone in the north-of-Boston area.

If you are interested, please let Meg know at mheckman32 at gmail dot com.
