Tripods for iPhone video

Before you know it, we will be shooting video. I have found that it makes an enormous difference to be able to interview people with my video camera on a tripod. I’ve got one for my Canon point-and-shoot that cost less than $20.

Unfortunately, it’s a little trickier with an iPhone, which is what I know that some of you are going to use. I don’t have a solid recommendation, but this one looks pretty good. It’s $40, but since you didn’t have to buy a textbook, and since you chose not to buy a camera (that is, if you’re using an iPhone), it’s well worth the investment.

Whatever you do, do not buy a tripod for your iPhone that holds it in the vertical position. Video should be shot in horizontal mode at all times.
